Ashanti Development constructs GHS80,000.00 worth ICT for PWDs
Ashanti Development, a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in the United Kingdom has constructed and furnished an ICT edifice at a total cost of GHS80,000.00 for persons with disability in the Sekyere Central District.

Speaking at the dedication ceremony, the country's Director for the NGO, Mr Nicholas Aboagye Peprah unveiled that, the Federation for the disabled in the district had a collaboration with them in the year 2015 and they have kept helping them in several ways.

He explained that, they had already constructed a resource center for them but saw the need again to provide them with an ICT laboratory to enable them acquire the needed skills in IT.

"The edifice would also help them to generate revenue to aid their office operations", he noted.

He made these disclosure in an interactions with Omono Asamoah, a journalist.

The District Chief Executive of Sekyere Central District, Kwadwo Banahene Badiako eulogized the NGO for their initiatives to support the government with projects that the residents of the area desired.
