National Police Command conference held

The Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa joined the Interior Minister, Mr. Ambrose Dery for the opening ceremony of the National Police Command conference.

The Regional Minister disclosed in his address that, the main aim of the conference is to achieve two objectives which are to enable leadership of the Ghana police services and the Regional commanders meet and take stock of the vision and initiatives being introduced into the service, and also map up strategies to effectively reduce and control crimes.

The conference was held in Sogakofe at the Holy Trinity Spa and Health farm under the theme, “Strengthening, Discipline and Supervision for Effective crime control”.

Dr. Letsa further emphasized the need for peace and security for development and indicated that the role of the police is very crucial and critical. He also expressed the hope that the conference would enable the police to do more in effective crime control.
