MCE tours examination centres
The New Juaben South Municipal Chief Executive; Isaac Appaw-Gyasi and his team including the Municipal Director of Education; Mavis Oparebea Yirenkyi, the Public Relation Officer (PRO); Mrs. Matilda Serwaa Botwe, the media and the regional educational unit took time to tour all the four Basic Education Certificate Examination centres in the municipality.

The examination which commenced on the 10th of June 2019, will last for one week.

The schools visited are Oti boateng Senior High School, New Juaben Senior High School and Koforidua Secondary Technical School which has two centres.

A total of One Thousand Six Hundred and thirteen candidates are sitting for the exam in the municipality.

The Municipal Chief Executive expressed words of encouragement to the BECE candidates that the whole country is behind them especially the President of the Republic, his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo.



He advised them that there should be no fears at all with the police men and the invigilators around but rather make sure they read well questions and understand them very well before attempting to answer any of the questions.

The Municipal Chief Executive informed the pupils that they are the third batch to witness the free Senior High School policy which was introduced by his Excellency the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo and therefore wish them a distinction in this year exams and even have the hope that they will score 100% in this year’s BECE.



The Municipal Director for Education; Madam Mavis Oparebea Yirenkyi advised the pupils to avoid any form of exams malpractices which are prohibited by the exams council. “On behalf of the educational directorate we wish all candidates a successful examination” she said.
