JAMAN S: Assembly bent on extending electricity to deprive communities
The Jaman South district assembly of the Brong Ahafo Region is bent on expanding electricity to deprive areas and communities to help improve local businesses, Alhaji Abuu, District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area has said.

“Not only will this provide convenience to the people but also local enterprises that require electricity such as barbering, cold stores, tailoring among others will also flourish and that will better the lives of our people, the DCE disclosed in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com.

He thus stated that two electrification projects have been instituted to provide electricity to the people in the district. He said first phase of the project is to expand power to areas in Drobo and its surrounding communities whiles extension will also be done to deprived communities connected.

“There are some area that require expansion work, we will first look at these areas and later ensure that power is extended to the remaining remote communities. We working hard to get all these communities connected on time to improve livelihood”.

Meanwhile, all is said to be set for “Boadwo”, a farming community to receive a fair share of the national electricity. He said “low tension poles have already been erected with the expectation of getting the project completed as soon as possible”.
