Funeral of late former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur underway

Funeral of late former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur is currently ongoing at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The late Vice President’s remain has been laid in state at the Accra International Conference Centre for the public to file past it.

The Former Vice President met his untimely death on June 29, 2018 at the 37 Military Hospital, having been rushed there after he collapsed during a work-out at the Air Force Gym in Accra.

The late Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur, became the fifth Vice-President of Ghana's 4th Republic from August 6, 2012 until January 7, 2017, under President John Dramani Mahama.

Amissah-Arthur was appointed as Governor of the Bank of Ghana in October 2009 by President John Evans Atta Mills, a position he held until August 6, 2012, when he became Vice-President of Ghana following the death of Atta Mills.
