DCE hands over 600 mono desks to GES

The Afigya kwabre South District Assembly in the Ashanti Region has handed over 600 mono desks to the Education Directorate for distribution to schools in the District.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) Mr. Adu-Poku Poku Christian in presenting the desk said it formed part of holistic measures the Assembly adopted to eliminate furniture deficit in schools in the jurisdiction.

He advised School Management Committees to handle furniture with care and maintain them to help reduce the financial pressure on the Assembly.

The DCE noted that making education a reality in the district and across the country required a collective effort from all stakeholders.

Mr. David Akomeah Asokwah Education Director receiving the commended the DCE and the assembly for the gesture and pledged that the district education directorate would ensure that management of the beneficiary schools comply with strict maintenance culture of the furniture.
