NDC withdraws from Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election
The National Democratic Congress, NDC has withdrawn from the ongoing by-election in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency following what the party describes as unfair treatment from the security operatives.

Chairman of the Party, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo made the announcement at a press briefing Thursday morning after the incident, adding they cannot allow their followers to be killed because of by-election.

“We have alerted all our agents to withdraw, we cannot allow our people to be killed because of this single by-election,” Mr. Ofosu Ampofo noted.

He also noted, they were not in a battle field to witness shooting and killing of people.

It is alleged that six shots were fired with two already dead.

The incident which happened at the at Presbyterian Primary one polling station at Bawaleshie saw some unidentified men in Black T'shirt believed to be National Security Operatives beating up people and shooting as well.

The death of the incumbent Member of Parliament of the area, Emmanuel Agyarko necessitated the by-election to get a replacement for the constituency.
