Recycling of waste is our major concern - MP Afigya Sekyere East
Thousands of residents in the Effigya Sekyere East Constituency took to the street of Agona, Jamasi and Wiamoase along with their Member of Parliament and District Chief Executive to embark on a massive clean-up exercise as a means of eradicating mosquito bleeding environment and also to set the pace on the environmental cleanliness.

During the event, the MP for the area Mavis Nkansa Boadu disclosed that, they are on a negotiation table with a foreign company to see how best the domestic waste substances which are been created could be recycled for the benefit of the entire constituency.



The government spends a lot on waste eradication yet the problems on waste keep resurfacing therefore the alternative to waste eradication should be recycling.

"We cannot sit down for waste to engulf us in our modern days society, recycling is a must”, she added.



She also stressed on the need to stay clean despite the aforementioned initiative, to control waste.

The DCE for Sekyere South District, Catherine Reckline on her part disclosed during the event that the activities of Zoomlion Company at Jamasi is highly abysmal and they ought to change for good.
 



She also made a clarion call that communal labour is a civic responsibility therefore they must develop the spirit of patriotism within them and avail themselves when such activities are organised.
