Adwoa Safo cuts sod for Atomic-Kwabenya road construction
The Minister of State in charge of Public Procurement and Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome – Kwabenya constituency, Lawyer Sarah Adwoa Safo, on Wednesday cut sod for construction works to begin on the Atomic Down roundabout – Kwabenya roads in the Ga East Municipality.

Speaking at the Sod cutting event, Lawyer Adwoa Safo noted that the project was a demonstration of the government’s determination to bring about improvement in the lives of the people.

According to her, the road, when made motorable would bring great relief to the people who over the years have had to travel on a very bad road.

“As the mother of the constituency, I have realized the pain the people have to go through and endure for so many years of inconveniencies due to the state of roads in the constituency” she said.

The Minister of Roads and Highways, Mr Amoako Attah, on his part, indicated that the road construction would cover areas including Atomic – down roundabout, Taifa, Taifa – Burkina, Mr. Adjei Top and Down to Kwabenya Mosque.

He added that the road would be equipped with all the road marks, ramps and streets lights to reduce accidents and improve security.

Hon. Amoako Attah urged the Constructors to speed up work on the road to help finish on time but should also ensure value for money.

Meanwhile, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mr. Ishmael Ashittey has lauded the Government and for that matter the MP for initiating the project to help improve the living conditions of the people of Dome-Kwabenya.

He entreated residents of the area to exercise patience since the NPP government was working relentlessly to improve the lives of the ordinary Ghanaian citizenry.
