Assembly appeals for police stations
The Daffiama Bussie Issa District Assembly has appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to make conscious efforts to increase the number of police stations in the area to ensure law and order.

This, he said would ensure peace and security and pave way for socio-economic development.

Making the appeal in an interview with the Ghanadistricts.com, Mr. Nadi Sanda Imoro, the District Chief Executive (DCE) said the number of police stations and personnel in the district were inadequate to stem the insurgence of robbery and economic crimes in the area.

According to him, the entire district does not have a police stations and all operating under Nadowli District and work under distressed conditions to effectively respond to emergencies especially in far-reaching villages and hamlets.

The DCE further stated that the Assembly was closely working with some traditional leaders in communities to assist with litigation free lands to enable the government setup police post to beef up security.

He expressed readiness of the Assembly to work with all stakeholders to provide the needed temporary security facilities like bungalow, vehicle for the police.When these are done, it will make their work easy and also help the people in communities to go about their normal duties without fear and Panic.
