The entire assembly was thrown into a state of jubilation after the Electoral Commission declared the results. Mr. Osei Ntim pulled 30 Yes and 2 No votes making 93.75% to get the nod.
In his victory speech after being sworn into office, Mr. Ntim expressed much appreciation to the house and the President for the confidence reposed in him. “The campaign is over inasmuch as I was the parliamentary candidate of the NPP in the just ended elections, you should see me as a man for the whole district who will work tirelessly to ensure growth in the district”, he added.
The MP, Madam. Adjoa Ntonsu assured the DCE of her support at any given time.
The former DCE Mr. Ponye who spoke before the election asked the” assembly members to consider the interest of the Assembly instead of their political interest and vote for the nominee. “
Meanwhile, the day’s activities started with the election Mr. Agbesi Simon as the Presiding Member for the assembly.

Mr. Agbesi was endorsed by a 93.73% of the assembly members and presided over the day’s activities that confirmed the new DCE.
