Forty-eight of the assembly members made up 36 elected assembly members and 16 government appointees voted yes to confirm him while only four voted against his nomination.
The election was conducted and supervised by officials of the Electoral Commission.
Madam Rita Asiedu, Magistrate Court judge, administered the oath of office to Mr Esuman.
Mr Esuman expressed appreciation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his nomination; regional and constituency party executives and thanked the Assembly members for the honour done to him.
He pledged to work with the assembly members for the development of the municipality and implored their support.
He promised to run an all-inclusive and transparent administration devoid of any victimisation.
Mr Kwamena Duncan, the Central Regional Minister, commended the assembly members for massively endorsing the President’s nominee and called on them to offer their support to the new chief executive.
He described Mr Esuman as a hard working servant who was capable of transforming municipality but cautioned him to be accountable to the people.
