Offinso Municipal Assembly relocates Abofour market and fire service station

The Abofour Market and the Ghana National Fire Service station in the Offinso Municipality have been relocated to a more conducive and secured environment, to enable safe trading and easy accessibility.

The Municipal Chief Executive of the area, Solomon Kesseh indicated that Abofour Market has been in existence for years, but traders trade by the roadside of the Offinso highway which was not safe and secured, adding that trading there was mostly causing accidents and traffic on the highway.

He said that the fire station was sharing office with the DVLA in the municipality, so they relocated it to create a more friendly and safe environment for smooth operations.

Mr. Kesseh said the traders are happy and satisfied with the relocation since they have finally gotten a more secured environment to operate.

He said that Urban Development Grant (UDG) helped with the new development and used the opportunity to show appreciation.
