1,500 youth engaged under Green Ghana project
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the forestry commission, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie says the commission has engaged about 1,500 youth under the government’s Green Ghana project.

According to him, 105 of the total number of recruits were selected from the Adansi South District which is also the home town of Mr Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Sir John.

He made this known when he met the newly recruited youth at the Adansi South Assembly hall at New Edubiase, the district capital.

The CEO further informed the youth gathered that government has already allocated funds for the project and thus urged the youth to work hard to the realization of the government’s vision.

On his part, Forestry manager of New Edubiase Mr Lawrence Fosu, encourage the youth to report to work on time and ensure punctuality.

He said the commission has pegged their salaries between GHs 400 and GHs 1,200, adding that government also prepared to provide them with necessary tools to improve their work.
