OFFINSO N: DCE confident of dev’t support from ministries/agencies

District Chief Executive of the Offinso North District is confident his efforts at reaching some ministries in Accra with some challenges confronting the district will yield positive results.

The DCE, Mr. David Kwasi Asare revealed to assembly members at a meeting that he visited Accra to present some challenges of the District to some Ministries with the support of the Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister of Local Government.

He indicated that over ten Ministries and Agencies including Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Ministry of Works and Housing, Ministry of Communication, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Roads, Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, GETfund, Cocoa Board, Social Investment Fund, School Feeding Secretariat among others received the concerns of the District.

Among the concerns presented to these Ministries include construction of schools, drains at Afrancho, frafra line in Akumadan, Wawasi in Nkenkaasu, expansion of school feeding programme, construction of roads among other interventions. "I have no doubt that most of these visits would yield some positive result".

He said his promise to the Conference of Heads of Basic Schools about his commitment to improving education still holds, adding he will do his best to fix their concerns.
