Adansi North DCE celebrates with senior citizens
Senior citizens in the Adansi North Districts were thrown into ecstasy when a pronouncement was made to the effect that 3,000 elderly men and women were to benefit from the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS.

The announcement was made during this year’s Republic Day retreat organized for the senior citizens at Amoanimaa Dede II Hall at Fomena in the Ashanti Region.

According to him the health insurance card will be very beneficial to them at this age of their lives when they needed health care most; and it will come at no cost to them.



He called on them to ensure regular medical check-ups for early detection and treatment of any disease that might affect them.

The DCE expressed gratitude to the elderly men and women for their service to mother Ghana, a dedication worth emulating by the youth to make sure Ghana becomes a great nation.


He thus called on them to make their rich experiences available in the development of the district and the country as a whole.


The senior citizens were treated to music and dance to help them socialize.



In attendance were; Nana Kofi Akowuah I Adontenhene of Kusa , Mr Adomako Kofi Augustine the Presiding Member for Adansi Asokwa District, Mr Edwin Agyapong Antwi Presiding Member( PM) for Adansi North District, Mr Kwaku Obeng Assemblyman for Ampedwee Electoral Area Dompoase Ohene Gyan Anane, NPP 2nd vice Chairman for Fomena Constituency and host of others.
