Asuogyaman: Assembly donates to Muslim community
The District Chief Executive Samuel Kwame Agyekum together with his management team, have donated food items to the Muslim community in the district in support of the celebration of the Edul Fitr festival.

The DCE, who made the presentation at the assembly premises, said the items were to assist the Muslims to successfully grace the occassion. He commended them for living in unity, peace and harmony.

Mr Agyekum used the occasion to urge parents, irrespective of their religious affiliations, to endeavor to invest in their children's education and also advised the youth to refrain from acts that would brand them as agents of destruction.

The DCE, urged the Muslims to remember the country in prayers especially the President and DCE so that they can deliver and work for the development in the country.

He assured them that the NPP government, led by President Akufo-Addo and his team of competent administrators, would put the country on its sound economic footing to ensure that people benefit from whatever good business they set themselves out to do.


Receiving the items, Chief Imam of the Zongo community in the district, described the support as timely and thanked the Assembly for the gesture and promised that the items would be distributed fairly to reach all.

The items donated include, bags of rice, oil, drinks biscuits and so forth.


In addition, Mr. Agyekum presented a start up items and equipments to trainees who received training in vegetable cultivation. Grasscutter and snail rearing under the Rural Enterprise Programme of the assembly.
