Atiwa East DCE commends MP’s effort to eradicate maternal mortality

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Atiwa East, Kwabena Panyin Nkansah has commended the lawmaker of the constituency for her effort in providing incubator to the Enyiresi Government hospital.

According to the DCE the good gesture by the Member of Parliament would go a long way to eradicate maternal mortality in the district.

He further pointed out that since the ruling government came to power there had been remarkable achievement when it comes to maternal health, whiles two people lost their lives during child birth.

“We recorded one death in the year 2017 and 2018 we scored zero when it comes to maternal mortality, and we can thank our hard working health personnel’s together with the good measures we have put in place”.

Again when I became the DCE, the hospital officials approached me and pointed out to me that one difficulty they had at the government hospital was disposal of refuse and I ensure that a container was placed here to help disposed of refuse.

In addition when it rains due to the leakage in the roof, you had to put containers around to contain the water coming out of the leakage, we have to reroof the hospital when senior doctors at the hospital approached me for assistance.
