KRACHI N: NGO, Assembly partner to construct new Health center

The health sector in Krachi Nchumuru needs serious attention, lack of health logistics such as ambulance, inadequate health personnel, lack of infrastructure are some of the problems that the District is currently battling with.

However, in a bid to improve on the situation and provide quality health services, the Krachi Nchumuru District Assembly in collaboration with System for Health, a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) based in the United States America have began work on the construction of modern health center in the District.

The health center if completed will provide an all-inclusive healthcare to the District capital and the other neighboring communities and reduce mortality rate.

Speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, Mr Augustine Kwesi Appiah expressed his profound gratitude to the NGO for their kind gesture and called for more of such projects in the district.

He also seized the opportunity to call on other donors and development partners to emulate the NGO’s kind gesture.

Contractors working on the project

Stressing on efforts made by the government, he said, the wealth of the nation depends on the health of its people hence government was committed to improving the health of the ordinary Ghanaian citizenry.

The DCE however, urged the contractors to expedite work on the project but should also ensure value for money.
