To this end, he noted that, the assembly has over the past few months put in place stiff measures to improve access to quality healthcare and also ensure proper monitoring at various health centers across the district.

The DCE was addressing Assembly Members and Departmental Heads at the Assembly’s Ordinary Meeting held at Atimpoku, the District capital.

Mr Agyekum revealed expansion work on the District Health Administration block has already been carried out to help ease congestion at the office, adding that assembly has also repaired the district’s only broken ambulance vehicle which is currently serving its intended purpose.

He noted that the health directorate has also taken delivery of a new pickup vehicle to ensure proper monitoring and supervision of health workers in the area.
