Kintampo MCE cuts sod for modern toilet facilities

In line with improving sanitation in the Kintampo North Municipality in the Brong Ahafo Region, the Municipal Assembly is to construct three Modern toilet facilities in three communities.

This follows a sod cutting ceremony performed by the Municipal Chief Executive for the area, Michael Sarkodie Baffoe to officially signify commencement of work on the projects.

The three new facilities are to benefit Sunkwa, Mo Line and Babato.

Construction of these facilities, the MCE noted will aid their quest to eradicate open defecation in communities in the municipality and ensure they avoid diseases outbreaks which are likely to emanate from unkempt environmental conditions.

The MCE, Mr Sarkodie Baffoe also appealed to beneficiary communities to practice the culture of maintenance by taking good care of the facilities and also bear in mind that “cleanliness is next to godliness".

Again, Mr Sarkodie assured the people of many projects that the government is doing which these communities will not be an exception, and will ensure all communities have their fair share of the national cake.

The people thanked the MCE and the assembly for such a project and also promised to take good care of the facility when completed.
