Obuasi gov’t hospital to be rehabilitated-MCE

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Obuasi in the Ashanti region, Mr. Elijah Adansi-Bonah, has hinted that major works will soon begin to give a proper face-lift to the Obuasi Government Hospital.

The MCE in a meeting with elders and people of Mensakrom said the initiative forms part of the €55 million facility acquired by the Akufo-Addo government to fund the construction of the Obuasi Trauma Hospital at Bidiem and other three projects.

He then appealed to the people of Mensakrom to rally behind the government and the assembly to bring more development in the community.

Mr Adansi-Bonah seized the opportunity to express appreciation to the chiefs of the area for their outstanding commitment and support shown to the government.

He was hopeful that the contractors would complete the hospital within the stipulated period of time to ensure its intended purpose.

Mr. Adansi-Bonah further urged the public to exercise restraint and assured that the government would ensure the delivery of quality health care to the people.

The MCE was accompanied by officials of the Obuasi municipal assembly.
