NDC pulls out of Ayawaso West Wuogon By-election

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has pulled out of the ongoing Ayawaso West Wuogon By-election.

This comes on the back of reported incidents of gunshots heard in Bawalashie, the party's strong hold.

Information gathered by Ghanadistricts.com indicates that, at least one person has died while six are currently receiving treatment at the 37 Military Hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds.

Report also says that the NDC Party would hold a Press Conference at 10:00 AM today to officially announce their position.

The by-election, which is aimed at finding a replacement for late NPP MP for the constituency, Mr Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko is keenly being contested by wife of the deceased MP, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, Delali Kwasi Brempong of the NDC, Mr William Kofi Dowokpor of the Progressive People’s Party and Clement Boadi of the Liberal Party of Ghana.
