850 pupils receive free school uniforms
About Eight hundred and fifty pupils selected from various basic schools in the Asante Akim North District have benefitted from free supply of school uniforms.

The District Chief Executive, Francis Oti Boateng, presenting the uniforms to students from one of the beneficiary schools, Efirisere D/A Primary School disclosed that the presentation of the free school uniforms was in fulfillment of President Nana Addo's commitment to fulfill the Ghana Beyond Aid Policy.
The gesture, he noted, also forms part of efforts at enhancing quality basic education in the area to lay strong foundation for the pupils to propel them in their academic pursue.
According to the Asante Akim North DCE, government is poised to deliver qualitative education, and reaffirmed the NPP government’s commitment to commit more resources to the educational sector.
He said since NPP won power, it has made several interventions in the area of providing adequate classrooms and furniture to improve the schools in the country.
He cited, for instance, the increment of the capitation grant as a major development that is meant to curb the under-tree school syndromes.
“We are privileged to hand over a total of Eight Hundred and fifty (850) free school uniforms to basic schools in this district,” the DCE said.
