KWABRE E: DCE confers with pastor over development of district

Kwabre East District Assembly has organized a consultative meeting with various pastors and heads of churches in the district in view of soliciting ideas and opinion from them over the development of the district.

The meeting was also aimed at bringing governance to the doorsteps of the people and to be able to deliver to their needs and aspirations.

Addressing the participants at St Joseph Parish Church at Mamponteng on Wednesday, the District Chief Executive, Hon Nana Osei Asibey Bonsu called on all churches in the district to come together as group for quick and easy way of reaching them.

He introduced to them government's flagship programs, interventions and policies and the District Assembly' sets programs such as the "Kwabre Kentey and Adinkra festival" which has been officially launched recently.

The DCE advised them on extreme noise making, registration of church names and permits. Other areas like sanitation and road issues were also discussed.

Hon. Osei Asibey appealed to the pastors to cooperate with the government, its policies and regulations so as to improve the District.

The denominational churches categorized with Orthodoxe, Charismatic, Pentecostal churches and Spiritual churches came in their numbers to engage with the Chief Executive as it was the first of its kind in the district.
