Nungua residents hail creation of Krowor Municipality

Residents and opinion leaders of Nungua in the Greater Accra Region have expressed their appreciation to President Nana Akufo Addo for the creation of the new Krowor Municipality.

They assured the President and government of their cooperation and support in order to see the needed development in the new area as is the spirit behind the creation of the new districts.

In a conversation with Ghanadistricts.com, Mr Jeff Asiamah, a food vender expressed his appreciation to the President for the creation of the Municipality and said it will bring investors to the area and Nungua will be well developed since a lot of infrastructure development will be carried out done.

Mr. Asiamah emphasized that, creation of new municipality will create jobs and will help the youth in the municipality to have something doing.

Adding, recently, the Assembly has begun employing people which is one advantage as it will minimize some of the bad activities in the municipality.

The Residents, however, appealed to the Electoral Commission to consider the large population of Nungua and create another constituency out of Nungua.

Recently President Akuffo Addo created and upgraded 38 new districts to enhance local governance and development.

All the 38 new assemblies have simultaneously been duly inaugurated and are functional across the country.
