MCE donates to Muslim community

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Awutu Senya East Assembly, Micheal Essuman Mensah has donated food items to the Muslim community in the area.

The items comprise of 100 bags of sugar and cartons of milk among others.

According to the MCE, the items presented were to support the Muslim community during their month-long fast. He added that it was also help encouraged Muslims to pray for the area and since Ramadan was a special period on the Islamic calendar.

'This is an annual routine in the district; our Muslim family here know that Ramadan is never complete without the assembly sending in donations,” he added.

Mr. Mensah urged Muslims to use Ramadan to pray for peace and stability for the country and appealed to them to offer special prayers for the development of the district.

He also appealed to the Muslims to continue to pray to Allah to guide the President and his team to take the nation to greater heights.

The Imam, Odikro and the tribal chiefs received the gifts on behalf of the Muslim communities, and thanked the assembly for the gesture and prayed for Allah’s blessing upon them.
