N JUABEN S: MCE meets NABCO beneficiaries
The New Juaben South Municipal Chief Executive; Isaac Appaw-Gyasi on September 26, 2018, interacted with over five hundred (500) Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) beneficiaries who went through interview process and have been selected.

The interaction forms part of the normal orientation programme organized in collaboration with the Municipal Assembly and the Municipal NABCO authorities.

The beneficiaries will be engaged in modules like Civic Ghana, Enterprise Ghana, Educate Ghana, Feed Ghana, Digitize Ghana as well as Revenue.

Addressing beneficiaries, the Municipal Chief Executive of New Juaben South, Isaac Appaw-Gyasi commended them for exhibiting the habit of waiting till the final selection and placement, saying the programme will a long run change their living conditions and prepare them for the job market.

Narrating the ordeal behind NABCO programme, he said the programme is an initiative of the NPP government to address recurrent graduate unemployment and also to solve social problems. The focus of this initiative will sought to solve problems in public service delivery in the area of health, education, agriculture, technology, governance and drive revenue mobilization and collection.

According to him, the programme is expected to engage about one thousand young graduates to help government achieve its objectives in the area of improving public service delivery, improve on government revenue mobilization as well as improve skills and employability for transition from programme to permanent employment.

Mr. Appaw-Gyasi emphasized that the NABCO programme is a temporary measure to help reduce the unemployment rate. “As you are going to the job field, I implore you to demonstrate hardwork, trustworthy, punctuality, dedication and imbibe in yourself good working habit that will ensure for your success.” He advised.

The MCE noted with concern that the task ahead is huge but the wage is meager, this he encourage the beneficiaries to put it at the back of their minds that they are working to learn and gain experience in order to benefit the country.
