A 3-Unit School Block, built at the cost of Ghc 105, 377.68, has been commissioned at Akim Bommoden in the Birim South District of the Eastern Region.

The Chief of Akim Bommoden Nana Anyan, thanked the District Chief Executive for his role in establishing the school and for bringing such a great project to the people of Bommoden.

For her part, the District Education Director, Mrs Caroline Norte, thanked the government and the District Chief Executive for the provision of the facility and urged both the parent and teachers to ensure that the facility was utilized to its fullest benefit.

Mrs Nortey promised to provide the kingdergaten department with uniforms to help encourage them to stay in school and advised encouraged the girl child to pay more attention to their schooling to ensure a better future for them.

The District Chief Executive, Hon. Baffour Mensah Takyi, pleaded with parents to invest in the education of their children.
Hon.Takyi promised to ensure that the school benefitted from the school feeding programme and cautioned the community against misuse of the school facility.


He gave the assurance that the people would soon get connected to the national grid.
