About one thousand cement bags have been distributed to a number of communities that have initiated development projects in the Afram Plains South Constituency in the Eastern Region.

The items also included 50 packets of roofing sheets and 600 pieces of plastic chairs.

Beneficiary communities which include Koranteng, Chemfre, Wawase, Odumesua, Alezuma and Iddrisu Akrua have all started projects ranging from durbar grounds, toilet facilities, school projects among others. However, the intervention of the MP became necessary as most of the projects were dragging as a result of financial constraints.

Presenting the items, Mr. Boateng urged the people to keep the self-help spirit alive to assist the assembly and all stakeholders to accelerate development in the various communities. According to him, it is easier toget help when one initiate rather than wait and fold the hand and complain.

He assured them of his continues support but urged them to make sure the materials are used for their intended purposes.

Meanwhile, work on 13 boreholes located in various communities in the constituency have been completed including Krachi Nyafre, Nsogya-Nafou, Koranteng and Krachi.
