SEKYERE C: 50 motorbikes distributed to Assembly members

The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development through the Sekyere Central District Assembly has given out 50 motorbikes to the various assembly members within the district.

Presenting the motorbikes the District Chief Executive for the area, Kwadwo Banahene Badiako explained that, the government had realized the mobility challenges bedeviling the activities of the assembly members therefore decided to cushion them with the motor bike.

He continued that, the priority of the government is to deepen the decentralisation system through the district assemblies hence the need to motivate the assembly members.

He finally advised them to ride with extra caution and should adopt the culture of maintenance to help increased the lifespans of the motorbikes.

The Assembly members on their part expressed their joy and profound gratitude to the president for adhering to their plea and they gave assurance that the motorbikes would help them to go extra mile in their endeavors.
