ATEBUBU: ISD begins public education campaign

The Atebubu-Amantin district office of the Information Services Department in collaboration with its counterparts in the Pru, Sene east and west districts of the Brong Ahafo region have begun a 10 day public education exercise on the 2018 fiscal and economic policy (budget).

The team will adopt field campaigns using cinema vans, radio talk shows as well as visits to schools, churches, and mosques to disseminate the relevant information.

The exercise which forms part of a nationwide campaign supported by the Ministry of Finance will see officials of the ISD educating the public in the four affected districts on among others: new policy initiatives, revenue generation and expenditure management measures.

The campaign will also look at sectorial performance for 2017 and the outlook for the year with emphasis on; agriculture, education, health, energy, water and sanitation, trade and industry, roads and highways, employment and social protection.

The exercise is expected to end by the January 22, 2018.
