Armed Forces Command tours Ejura-Sekyeduase Municipality
The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College as part of its study tour of the Ashanti Region from the 17th - 24th November, 2018, was at the Ejura-Sekyeduase Municipal Assembly on Tuesday 20th November, 2018.

The team comprised seven (7) Directing Staff, twenty-three (23) students and five (5) Drivers/Administrative staff.



The focus of their tour was among other things to;
• Evaluate the impact of decentralization on poverty alleviation and youth unemployment;
• Assess the extent of financial decentralization in support of rural development;
• Examine the effectiveness of decentralized security architecture in crime prevention, safety and security;
• Analyze the place and role of chieftancy in the decentralized administration at the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies.



The event which was held at the Ejura-Sekyeduase Municipal Assembly hall witnessed presentations by the Nifahene and MCE after which the floor was opened for questions.

Management presented to the Directing Staff, a woven kente scarf and presentation slides on pen drive as sign of welcome into the Municipality at the end of the meeting.



They visited the Palace to greet the Paramount Chief and his elders and the Zongo Chiefs.
