GA S: MCE meets residents association of Ga South Municipality
As part of measures to strengthen decentralization and active participation in the local governance within the Municipality, the Municipal Chief Executive of Ga South, Mr. Joseph Nyarni Stephen together with the Coordinating Director, the Member of Parliament (MP) and some Assembly members met the Residents Association of Top Town and Official Town to discuss issues concerning security, sanitation, road infrastructure as well as property rate.

On sanitation, the MCE explained the new policy of the Assembly dubbed “one-house-one dustbin” which will ensure that every house in the Municipality has a dustbin.

He noted that the Assembly has changed the formula for the calculation of the property rates and the new rates were calculated using the lowest rate impost and again slashed by 50% to ensure all residents are able to pay, adding that the new bills must not go beyond GHS500 for any domestic property within the Municipality, that is GHS50 to GHS500.



Mr. Nyarni also stated that night patrols have been intensified to ensure residents live in peace and dark areas within the Municipality will also be address through the fixing of streetlights to reduce crime rate in such areas and explained to the people what the President is doing to improve good security measures.

Mr. Habib Saad, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro constituency, on his part reiterated Government's commitment to improve upon the road infrastructure Under the Syno-Hydro contract.
