The District Chief Executive, Mr. Jotie Moses said the projects are expected to hook some 72 communities to the national electricity grid after the completion of the project.

The DCE noted in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com that the completion of the project will have major positive impact on the socio-economic lives of the people.

He said with electricity, residents in the beneficiary communities would be able to do a lot of things including opening small businesses, light for students to study, recreational purposes, as well as improve security.

"You all agree with me that the provision of electricity can open up our communities here commercially and enable them to engage in jobs like welding, fabrication and modeling rather than moving to urban centres for non-existent jobs," he said.
