ASANTE A S: Quality leadership is yielding positive results

Yesterday, the first two gentlemen of the Asante Akim South District, the Honourable Member of Parliament, Lawyer Kwaku Asante Boateng and District Chief Executive, Alexander Frimpong made a donation of a printer and photocopier machine to Banka Day Senior High School.

This happened few days after they have visited the various Senior High Schools in the district to obtain first-hand information about the present state of the schools and more especially how the “Free SHS” policy is impacting on the available facilities in the schools.

At Banka Day SHS, it was revealed to them that the school had no printer and photocopy machines and the situation is making both administrative and academic work difficult.

The headmaster always have to travel long distance to Ofoase before he can print documents for administrative and academic purposes.

It is for this reason that the Member of Parliament (MP) and the DCE made a timely donation of the items yesterday.

Meanwhile, they have pledged to monitor the schools closely and do their best to resolve major challenges confronting them to improve academic work and students’ performance.
