Asutifi North DCE rallies community support for development
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asutifi North in the Brong Ahafo Region, Mr. Anthony Mensah, has called on residents of the area to shun partisanship and tribalism to effectively and efficiently promote development in their communities.

He assured chiefs and residents of his commitment to serve and promote their interest by implementing projects and programmes aimed at fighting poverty to improve upon their living standards.

Mr. Mensah disclosed these in separate durbars organized in his honour as part of activities to marking a familiarization tour of communities in the district and to conduct needs assessments of development interventions in the communities.



His visit took him to Atwedie, Goam, Koforidua, Ntotroso and Kokofu.


The DCE mentioned the construction of schools in Kwakuri and Ntotroso, the District Hospital Expansion Project, Reshaping of Atwedie-Goamu roads and rehabilitation of boreholes as some of his achievements in his 8 month administration and pledged to do more to bring into fruition what the New Patriotic Party (NPP) promised.

He appealed to all stakeholders and opinion leaders to collaborate and support government’s flagship initiatives that have the potential to develop the district.




Community members at an open forum commended the DCE for the visit and appealed for more interventions in education, water and sanitation, construction of roads, provision of streetlights, school feeding programme and microfinance scheme.
