OBUASI: Assembly staff urged to take work serious
The Head of the Local Government Service, Dr Nana Ato Arthur, has charged staff of various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to work diligently, and to desist from acts that will contravene their core mandate.

Dr Arthur said this when he visited the Obuasi Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region, as part of his familiarization tour to various MMDAs across the country.

According to him, the government has rolled out series of intervention programme and it will only take handwork and dedication by staff of the assemblies to help these policies and initiatives fully realized. He assured them of government’s continual support to ensure that assemblies are able carry out their obligation, which among other things include, promoting and supporting productive activity and social development in the district to improve standards of living for the ordinary Ghanaian citizenry.

He was accompanied by the Chief Director, Mr Joseph Dasanah and other senior officers of the office of the Head of Local Government Service (OHLGS).
