The assembly as at August, 2016 has only mobilized at total amount of One Hundred And Two Thousand, Eight Hundred And Fifty cedis, and Sixty-Eight pesewas (GHs 102,850.68).

This, he said, represents only 37.79 percent of the estimated Two Hundred and Seventy-two thousand, one hundred and seventy three (GHs 272, 173.89) to be realized from the assembly’s IGF.

The DCE who lamented on the issue at the assembly’s second ordinary meeting reiterated however, attributed the abysmal performance on the lack of revenue superintendent to properly supervise collection.

He noted that the assembly as part of effort to improve the situation signed a new agreement with Matrix Solutions Limited, a private financial entity to handle issues related to revenue collections in the area.

He said the company will be responsible to collection of property rates and building permits, market tolls, car park tolls, business operating permits, licensing, Billboard and advertising fees.

The rest include, refuse fees, public toilet fees, way bills (exporter) fees, chop bars, stores, artisan fess, hawking fees, sand winning fees and basic rates, fuel dealers.

He thus urged members to collaborate fully with the personnel who will be assigned by the company to collect revenues in their communities.
