The chairman of the Appointment Committee pointed out that there is a huge imbalance in government information between the MMDCEs and the Information Ministry.

“Your first point of contact should be the MMDCEs when headed this would go a long way to help you”, he said.

Mr. Joseph Osei-Owusu made this suggestion when the Minister designate for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah appeared before the committee and was grilled for three hours Friday.

On the use of local Ghanaian language, chairman of the committee suggested to the Information Minister designate to interact with the large population of Ghanaians in the local language, as that space had been ceded to the local radio stations.

“They misinform, exaggerate and sometimes turn the facts outside down engage our followers yourself you would achieve a lot with that”, he emphasize.

He pointed out that as political leaders their mode of communications is English and the vast majority of people they represent to not follow, “us”.
