CAF To Elect New VP To Replace Nyantakyi
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will elect a new first vice-president during its General Assembly on 30th September, 2018, to replace Kwesi Nyantakyi who resigned following corruption allegations.

Nyantakyi, who was captured taking $65, 000 in an explosive investigative piece by renowned undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has been at the helm of Ghana Football from December 2005 till 7th June 2018.

He resigned from as the FA Boss on Friday June 8, after the Government of Ghana announced that it was taking steps to dissolve the FA.

Apart from being the second in command at CAF, Nyantakyi, who is a lawyer and a banker was also a FIFA Council member, a position he has also officially quit after the world’s football body handed him a provisional 90-day ban.

The former WAFU – the West Africa’s football body – boss has denied any wrong doing but apologized for “indiscretion.”

He has pledged to address the media in the coming days on the issues raised in the widely publicized piece by Anas.
