Speaking to KARAGA NEWS, the District co- ordinating Director, 0. ApauDanquah said as a fairly new District, much   attention is being given to infrastructural Development for a smooth takeoff. Mr. ApauDanquah said a lot is expected from the District Assembly by the people and with the completion of accommodation facilities for core staff they hope to settle down and do their best to bring smiles on the faces of the people.

According to the Co-ordinating Director the Assembly will continue to ensure the judicious use of its share of the Common Fund for the benefit of the people through the provision of amenities and other poverty reduction programmes.

He adviced the people to keep in constant touch with their respective Assembly members, discuss the problems and needs of their communities so that the Assembly members can then state it in contributions to deliberations during Assembly meetings.

Alternatively, the community, through its chief can also send a request or a memorandum directly to the office of the DistrictChief Executive for consideration. Mr. ApauDanquah said which ever way a community chooses, its request or concern may then be inputed or factored into the Assembly’s development budget and implemented.
