Financial Indicative Plan

The Aowin Municipal Assembly’s Four Year Medium Term Plan encompass several programmes and projects expected to be funded from both External and Internal source of revenue. The external sources include the District Assembly’s Common Fund (DACF), District Development Facility (DDF) and funds from Development Partners and Non-Government Organizations. The internal sources of revenues are funds accumulated from rates, fees and licenses at the District level. 

This section focuses on funding sources of projects and programmes under the various thematic areas as categorized under Central Government Grants/ Internally Generated Funds and that of Development partners and other NGOs. The total indicative budget for each of the thematic area is provided below. 

Revenue Projections

This section analysis the financial forecast of the Assembly in relation to projects and programmes earmarked for implementation within the plan period. This analysis gives a distinctive picture about how revenue would be mobilized from all sources towards the plan implementation. The sources of funds that would be projected include, DACF, DDF, IGF and any other sources that would be channeled through the District Assembly. A total projected revenue of GH¢24,848,623.75 is expected to be mobilized to finance the various annual action plans for the plan period.

Ghana Commercial Bank Limited with branches in Enchi and Dadieso and the Agricultural Development Bank in Enchi are the main commercial banks in the Municipality. The Amenfiman, Mansoman and Torya Rural Banks are agencies of rural banks in the district. The headquarters of these banks are located outside the Municipality.

POCC

 

Analysis of the Potentials, Opportunities, Constraints and Challenges (POCC) of the Identified Priority Development Issues/Problems

This section of the document analysis the prioritized issues to determine possible potentials and opportunities associated to each issue. The analysis looks at where potentials and opportunities in the district can be beneficial in redressing the prioritized issues. Related constraints and challenges are also identified to determine how well it can be managed.

The assessment was done in consultation with Development partners, traditional Authorities and other stakeholders based on the thematic areas outlined in Ghana Shared Growth and Development Agenda II (2014-2017).
