Comment:I was very happy when i came  across this information on the net.Gbintiri is a place where busness activities goes on well, especialy when it’s market day, people from all walks of life come to buy and sell things. There is one thing which is worry the corncern community members, that is  HIV/AIDS, in the environment  people there are not convince that the dieses is real, and those who come there for busness purpose come from togo, bukina faso and all other region in ghana and when they come  they do have friend that can expose them to the deadly dieses.I can say it was between 2005-2006 that the district assembly supported a club known as ANTI-HIV/AIDS club to organise a dubar in the community and it’s 43 surounding villages. That was the first time in history in which such program ever organise.I want to apeal to NGO’S and other able bodies to come to our aid. Even though apart from that education is one of the main problem in the area. The group is actualy doing well in the area of hiv/aids and other health issues. The club has it’s executive which comprises of president, ass president, securtry, ass secutry, tresurer, ass tresurer, organisar, ass orgarnisar. The group is ready to voluntee for any ngo or able bodies that come there for developmental project in the community.I hope people who visit this site will help to connect the club to serious able bodies. You can contact the club through this email address:zibililaa@yahoo.com. Thank you.

Comment:The new MCE of John A. Ackon has demonstrated within a short term of his office a leader with a vision, unlike his predecessor,Joseph Boampong who was a disgrace to the district. It will be "dangerous" for the NPP to allow this Boampong to be the Obuasi constituency chairman. His tenure of office will reduce NPP’s votes in this area because he lost touch with the people as a DCE.He was corrupt and womanizer after taking his family to settle in the USA when he became the DCE and not when before he become the DCE.

John Ackon,I will urge you to keep up the pace of development to uplift the image of Obuasi. Your deeds will determine your support from public when one day you happen to stand for paliamentary seat. Peolple should vote for visionary leaders and not be to dogmatic to party ideals. What is the benfit of voting my party member if e/she cannot bring development to my area?
